Occupational Therapist at Borlänge Municipality

Borlänge Municipality's rehabilitation team is a cheerful group that supports each other and is now looking for you who want to be part of our positive work environment.

We are now looking for two occupational therapists primarily for ordinary housing.

As an occupational therapist with us, you will help create conditions for the patient to live as independently, actively, and meaningfully as possible through rehabilitation, training, and assistive device prescription.

In addition, you will have close collaboration with other occupational therapists and physiotherapists, as well as support from MAR, rehabilitation assistants, and administrators.

The municipality's rehabilitation services are broad and include home care, special housing, short-term housing, and disability care. You will have a varied, developing, and enjoyable work environment where you will take a lot of personal responsibility, while always having colleagues who are there to support you.

As a new employee, you will participate in our introductory program with mentorship. Your introduction is tailored individually to your needs. The standard length of the introduction is four weeks. All to ensure you have a great start with us, feel comfortable, and secure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work together with the team to create conditions for the patient to live as independently, actively, and meaningfully as possible through rehabilitation, training, and assistive device prescription.

In the role of occupational therapist, you will work with the patient to find the best ways to use their abilities in daily life. You will support and motivate individuals to develop and maintain their mobility. Your tasks include:

• Assessing and evaluating the need for rehabilitation
• Testing, adapting, prescribing, and following up on assistive devices
• Guiding and educating staff, relatives, and other professionals
• Conducting activity assessments in the home environment
• Contributing to and participating in the ongoing development of the organization
• Collaborating with other actors and stakeholders around the residents of Borlänge
• Writing certificates, such as housing adaptation certificates

You will have close collaboration and direct proximity to your colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required for the role:

• You must be a licensed occupational therapist
• Driving license B (Manual)
• Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, for documentation and communication with colleagues, healthcare staff, patients, and relatives

Meritorious:

• Experience in municipal health and medical care
